The event is Round 1 of the Victorian Hillclimb Championship which consist of six Rounds conducted at various venues across the State and promoted by various Motorsport Australia affiliated clubs.

Hill climbing is one of the oldest motorsport disciplines consisting of timed runs by a singular car at a time. Awards are made for the fastest in each category with one awarded for the fastest outright on the day.

This event can attract up to 100 competitors driving a diverse range of vehicles from specially built hillclimb championship cars through production sports and sedans to road going vehicles.

Public admission is $10 for a individual or $20 for a car load.

Catering is provided on site by volunteers of the MG Car Club.

Whichever way you approach the venue it is a scenic drive and close to metropolitan Melbourne.
