METEC Driver Training Course

A fundraiser for local schools, clubs and The Smith Family organised by the Maroondah Rotary Club.  

15 billy cart teams, representing a dozen local schools and clubs will push their cart around the track.  Each team is made up of 20 children aged between 12 and 16 years of age each team hoping to achieve about 250 laps of the 350 metre course.

 Each team is supported by a sponsor to design and build their billy cart.  This requires the team members to solving many practical issues.  Major sponsors include Ringwood East Bendigo Bank, Paccar (Kenworth Trucks), Eastlink, Kubota, ARB, Nsient Consulting Engineers, Legrand Aus, Croydon Toyota.

Teams will raise funds based on laps completed and the money raised will be shared between the school or group and The Smith Family.

On the day there will be a fly-over of WW 2 Planes. SES/CFA Rescue Display, Kenworth Truck display, Kubota display, ARB 4WD display, Food Vans, Face Painting, Solar Car Display, Peoples choice of best billy cart and more.
