The Federal Labor party has proposed a $2000 credit for an "old clunker" when purchasing a suitable low fuel consumption new car. The AOMC and the AHMF (Australian Historical Motoring Federation) are concerned that this might be the "thin end of the wedge" to get older cars off the roads. The AHMF has sent a letter to the Prime Minister

Club Permit Scheme - VicRoads has proposed a Log Book scheme to replace the existing scheme. VicRoads is working towards introducing the scheme in early 2011 ??

Australian Historic Motoring Federation (AHMF) National Survey 2010. The 2006 survey is being repeated to provide continuing data for the AHMF to lobby government and other organisations to preserve our historic vehicle movement. The survey form may be completed and submitted electronically or in hard copy. More details and survey form available here.

The AOMC is now able to search Victorian Registration records from 1910 to 1932. This is in addition to our Engine No. records. More details here.

Victorian Club Permit Scheme. VicRoads has proposed a 90 day Log Book scheme to replace the existing scheme. See also some FAQs on the current CPS. (Updated 9.12.09)

The AOMC - FVV&CVC - VicRoads,  Club Permit Scheme Handbook current issue is June 2005 (Blue Cover). Note that the changes from the previous issue (green cover - June 01 ) are minor and the green cover version is still valid. Club Permit Holders are strongly advised to keep a copy in their vehicle. Orders should be placed with the AOMC Office.  Copies are $5.50 each (inc. post) or $4 ea for 10 copies or more as a bulk purchase by Clubs. See latest VicRoads Notice on Permit use.

The AOMC has created a "Trip Library" for clubs seeking details of social runs in Victoria.

International Concours and Motor Show MotorClassica 2010 at the Exhibition Buildings was launched Oct 09.
