The Federal Labor party
has proposed a $2000 credit for an "old
clunker" when purchasing a suitable low fuel
consumption new car. The AOMC and the AHMF (Australian
Historical Motoring Federation) are concerned that this
might be the "thin end of the wedge" to get
older cars off the roads. The AHMF has sent a letter to the Prime Minister Club Permit Scheme - VicRoads has proposed a Log Book scheme to replace the existing scheme. VicRoads is working towards introducing the scheme in early 2011 ?? More information on the proposed scheme available here Australian Historic Motoring Federation (AHMF) National Survey 2010. The 2006 survey is being repeated to provide continuing data for the AHMF to lobby government and other organisations to preserve our historic vehicle movement. The survey form may be completed and submitted electronically or in hard copy. More details and survey form available here. The AOMC is now able to search Victorian Registration records from 1910 to 1932. This is in addition to our Engine No. records. More details here. |
